And They're Still Working on Health Care...

Are they really working on it? Or are they just trying to set each other up for election day? And now they're going to try to pass "It", whatever "it" is, without actually voting, so their names will not be associated with the bill during the upcoming election. Do the Democrats really think the average voter is that stupid? Oh yea, that's right, they are... they proved that during the last election.

Working Together in Washington on Health Care

Yea, right, that'll be the day. It looks more like the prez and his supporters will present their new health care bill to the Republicans, and when they don't immediately agree to it, will use the fact that is being televised to paint them as obstructionists.
Will we ever learn, neither side has our interests in mind, only bickering between the parties to try to get each of us to join their particular brand of political religion.
Our elected officials are the source of all the pain and suffering in this country. They are the reason that small business are failing in America. They are the reason our media is clogged with endless political crap. They are the reason people are out of work. They are the reasons that families can't get out from under the economic mess. It is now appearing that this is part of their plan, to make all of us completely dependent on the government.
And while they are busy finger pointing, the foundations of our society are failing.

Rats Deserting a Sinking Ship

This old saying comes to mind as I read hourly news reports about politicians that are resigning or not planning to seek re-election. If only there were more. They have sold out our country, stolen just about everything that isn't nailed, down, and now they are bailing out. Don't worry for them, they will be well taken care of for all eternity at the expense of the taxpaying public.

The Maryland Meltdown

So 2009 is over. Many of us in retail wanted to get through one final Christmas before we closed. The battle to continue is just to unsurmountable, so we, like so many others are now going out of business. Maryland is one of the most business unfriendly states in the union.
It was just posted that our governor was declaring a state emergency after a recent snowstorm. The emergency should have been declared the day he was elected.
So now, the question is, how many businesses in Maryland will close during the first quarter of 2010?
There is plenty of blame to go around, but most of it rests on the heads of the parasites that sit in government positions in the country, from the top all the way to the bottom.

Maryland Property Tax Assessments

Yes, those dreaded tax assessments are arriving, and the good news is: assessments are going down an average of 20%. But wait! Were going to be paying more in taxes? There is no way they can explain this, it's just criminal. And not surprising, given that we live in one of the most corrupt states in the union. Where does the money go, we certainly don't seem to get any benefit from endless taxation. It's all going just to maintain the bureaucracy. And that system is obsolete. When will we take back Maryland government, and re-build it to benefit the taxpayers? Most likely never. People just continue to move away to more away.

Health Care Run by the Government

The government. How will they improve the health care system? How can they possibly improve the best health care system in the world? How do they plan to any better than their failed attempts to improve Veterans health care, or Medicaid or Medicare? Or their failure to protect our borders, or their failure to keep drugs off the streets, leading to the failure of many cities? Or their failed attempt to rid the world of terrorism? Or to negotiate peace in the Middle East? Or their failed attempts to protect ordinary Americans from predatory banks, credit card companies, and corporations? Of their failed attempts to save the car industry from disaster? Or their failed attempts to lower unemployment? Or their failed attempts to regulate the financial services industry?

With such an endless, and extraordinary list of failures, how could anyone possibly believe that the government will improve health card for ordinary Americans?

Waitin' for The End of The World

It seems that we are all "Waitin' for the end of the world". From economic meltdowns, to the impending fall of civilization as we know it, to the "2012 disaster".
Everyone is sending, no-one is receiving, everyone is selling, no-one is buying. Perhaps we are simply moving from an "Industrial Age" to an "Information Age", just like we moved from an agricultural society to an industrial one.
Be not afraid, remember this... "Great Civilization is Built on the Bleached Bones of Broken Dreams".
Perhaps we shall yet build Our Utopian Dream!
